Georgia's Legacy Cremation Services Assisting Families Unite, Remember and Honor Loved One's With Unique Funeral Services
Georgia's Legacy Cremation Services assists families unite, remember and honor loved ones' with unique funeral service s and cremation. When a person dear to you passes away and you are responsible for making their final arrangements, we can help make this time a bit easier for you.
How We Help
Legacy Cremation Services understands that this is a very difficult time for surviving family members, especially the person who is in charge of the making the decisions for their funeral services. We assist you by doing all of the work to make sure that the departed has an honorable end of life service. We even include filing papers for life insurance and Social Security benefits. If you loved one was a veteran they deserve to get veterans benefits and be buried in a national cemetery for veterans, we will take care of all of the planning for these funeral services also.
Legacy will make certain that you never pay more than what we quote you once your final choice for services are made. We go over every price with you, even if you choose funeral homes for the bereavement, we will go over every process and what, if any, extra charges there may be for the funeral service you desire in Georgia.
We know that you can be very busy at this time trying to juggle your life plus everything that needs to be done to give the departed a dignified service, and all the other things you may need to take care of when finalizing all that was happening in their life. That is why if you cannot find the time to come to our family owned business, we can come to your family. Many times people feel more comfortable in their own home where they are given the chance to look over our brochures, and website to determine what suits their budget and the life of the departed.
Given the timing of the death there may need to be days in between when you receive that devastating call that your loved one has passed on and when funeral services can take place. This all depends on whether or not an autopsy needs to be performed, if the departed was an organ donor, or there are special circumstances where the deceased needs to be held for investigation if the death was not expected.
Legacy will speak with the hospital, mortuary, or medical examiner so you do not have to go through that pain, if you choose not to. We will obtain all copies of death certificates for any papers we file on your behalf, and to begin our services.
You will always have a choice of funeral homes that you wish to use and we will take care of all of the arrangements. After asking you question to determine the type of service you want all you will need to do is pick out a casket, and a suit or dress for your loved one's viewing and visitation.
The Celebration of Life Service
At Legacy we try to recommend having a celebration of your loved one's life funeral service, as opposed to a somber one that can last for days at traditional funeral homes. In our two decades of service we have found that families can deal much better with their grief if they celebrate the unique life of the deceased instead of strictly mourning them. It helps the survivors to remember the good times and visitors to see what your loved one's life was really like.
Many families choose to play special music they have chosen to be played in the visitation rooms of the funeral homes. We also suggest that items from the departed's life that remind you of who they really were be brought in to the funeral homes viewing room. These items can be placed in special places around the funeral homes viewing area for everyone to be able to stop and admire.
Because the funeral services are not only to pay tribute to a life well lived, but also to help you, family members and friends begin the healing process this is a wonderful way to honor your loved one.
The Grieving Process
Everyone grieves differently, that is the first thing you need to understand. While some people may seem to be handling the situation with ease, they may be really hurting inside. Children may seem to take everything in stride, or they may shut down for awhile. There is no right way to grieve and you can learn this from many of the brochures we have available on our website, or you can speak with one of our trained professionals if you feel you need to. This is not only for during the services in the funeral homes, but anytime the funeral services are over and you feel the need to talk.
Legacy Cremation Services makes uniting families easier during this difficult time with unique tributes and funeral services for your loved one.
