What we at Oklahoma's Legacy Cremation Services Do

A quick guide to the progression of services may be found below:
- A loved one is declared dead and a death certificate is issued.
- We transport the deceased to the funeral home or the crematory.
- If the crematory is chosen we return the ashes after the process is over.
- If a funeral service is chosen the body will be embalmed and dressed.
- You must buy a casket
- Obituaries placed in the paper by Oklahoma's Legacy Cremation Services.
- Obituary cards printed.
- Arrangements are made for any clergy or mass.
- Arrangements are made with the cemetery or memorial park
- When a memorial service is requested, either for cremation or after a funeral, we assist with all arrangements
- We offer grieve counseling at no extra cremation costs
Cremation Services Options
There are many more options with Oklahoma cremation as opposed to a funeral with burial or entombment. With a funeral you only have the options of burying the casket or placing it in a mausoleum, yet with a cremation you have several options including burial or placement in a mausoleum.
Choices for what to do with the ashes after cremation, include;
- Burial of the ashes after, or before a memorial
- Placement of urn in a mausoleum
- Keeping a decorative urn at home
- Wearing some of your loved one's ashes in a pendent
- Scattering the ashes at sea, or over land
Not only are people choosing cremation more and more over funeral these days due to the choices available, but also because of the cremation costs which are thousands of dollars less than a funeral with burial.
Memorials for Cremation Services Options
You can have a beautiful memorial service with any of the above cremation options. This is another reason to choose cremation services other than the cremation costs being less than funerals.
If your loved one did not make any pre-arrangements, you will need to choose between cremation or a funeral, if you chose cremation services you will then have to decide what type of memorial you want to have and where you like to have it.
To do this it may take some reflection on your part. Look at the life your love one lived, talk to their friends and other family members, you may discover things you never knew that will help you to celebrate their life, instead of only mourning their death. That is what we here at Legacy encourage, a celebration of life, it is proven that people feel better after leaving a service like this instead of walking away sadder than when you walked into the memorial.
Ask yourself some question, for example, did they love the outdoors, what sports did they play, did your loved play a musical instrument, what was their favorite book or movie? These questions can lead to others and you will certainly find some things that made your loved one happy, that you can use in their memorial.
Other things that you need to consider when you are thinking of having a memorial service is the number of people who will attend. Will you need a large room for many friends and family members, or a smaller cozy one? Do the outdoor surroundings matter to you? Do you want a place that is park-like on the outside so you can take strolls, be by yourself and recapture memories.
How We Help
Whatever you need done we at Oklahoma Legacy Cremation Services will do it for you. You tell us what type of memorial want, how large of a place you will need and what type of surrounding you prefer and we will make all of the arrangements for you. We will never do anything with your approval or knowledge of the added cremation costs. This is where we differ from other providers, some will add in expenses without your knowledge, we never will.
The price can be directly added into the cremation costs or we can bill you separately.
Oklahoma's Legacy Cremation Services gives you attentive and caring service from our family to yours.
