North Dakota
North Dakota Legacy Cremation Services Helps you Find Peace in Your Time of Sorrow
North Dakota Legacy Cremation Services helps you find peace in your time of sorrow. Our family owned business understands how hard this time of loss is for you, we have lost loved ones ourselves.
What We at North Dakota Legacy Cremation Services do for you
To begin with, we handle all phone calls and paperwork to get the cremation process started so you do not have to. Even obtaining the death certificates can be a trying time when you are busy doing all of the other necessary things you need to do when a loved one dies, so we take care of that. Our goal is to give you the best possible services with the lowest cremation costs we can and with as little interruption to your life a necessary.
From the moment you let the hospital where your loved one was pronounced dead know that North Dakota Legacy cremation services will be handling the arrangements you do not need to do too much more except answer some question on how you would like to proceed with a memorial service or the purchase of an urn.
The few things we need from you to get started are easy but it helps if you have them ready. First, the hospital will ask you if your loved one was an organ donor, if they were that will be taken care of before they leave the hospital. The easiest way to get proof of this decision is by getting their license, it always states on there if the deceased wanted to be an organ donor.
The next few things we need are, proof that you are the immediate family who will be taking care of the final arrangements. That can be your birth certificate, and theirs to show the relationship of the two of you. Next is the deceased's Social Security card, this is used for two reason, identification purposes, and for us to be able to file the benefit papers for you.
After that we will need to know if your loved one served in the military, if they did we need papers to prove that and your loved one will receive a Veterans burial complete with headstone. The paperwork is already included in the basic cremation costs that were you quoted, and the burial and the headstone are free.
We will also need any life insurance policy papers your loved one had if you want us to file those papers also. North Dakota's Legacy cremation Services can wait for payment until this check or the one-time benefit payment from Social Security comes in.
We will transport your loved one from the hospital to the crematorium, identify the body, and pick up your loved one's remains after the cremation process is complete.
All of the above is included in the affordable cremation costs that North Dakota's Legacy Cremation Services quoted you in the beginning.
The Memorial Service
Most families have a memorial service for their loved one after the cremation services. Either the urn that you are using can be present or not, that is up to you. What we do encourage you to do for the memorial is to have a celebration of life ceremony, instead of just a mourning service.
A celebration of life cremation service is when you reflect on a unique life that was lived well, and not only on how much you will miss the deceased. The best way to do this is with pictures or items from your loved one's life that meant a lot to them and you.
You can even ask friends and family members to join in by bringing things that they have from your loved one. These can be just about anything, fishing waders, a box of cigars, a nice brandy, climbing gear, favorite slippers, you name it, as long as it was something that made your loved one happy.
These items will be placed around the spot you decide to have the memorial in. We at North Dakota's Legacy cremation services will even help you to find items by giving you suggestions or asking questions that may spark a memory. We also help you to arrange the memorial items and find just the right spot to hold the memorial in.
The memorial service help will be added to the cremation costs, or if you need us to we can bill it separately.
North Dakota Legacy Cremation Services helps you find peace in your time of sorrow. Our family owned business understands how hard this time of loss is for you, and we just want to help lighten your burden.
