Nevada's Legacy Cremation Services is dedicated to providing families the most inclusive professional service in their time of need. We make sure that every detail, and all personal cremation costs are discuss with you prior to any service so you can be certain you make the right choice of cremation services providers.
What is in the Details
The services that Legacy cremation services in Nevada performs as part of the general cremation costs are as follows;

  • Contact with the Medical examiner or hospital
  • Transportation of the deceased to the crematorium
  • Identification of the departed
  • Cremation
  • Cremation container for transport back to the our facility
  • Filing of Social Security Papers
  • Filing of Veterans Benefits if the deceased was in the military
  • Filing of Life Insurance if there was a policy

The Cremation Process
If your loved one was not in the hospital or another medical facility the police are required to come and view the body. They will arrange for transportation of the deceased to the hospital. There they will be "pronounce dead" and a physician will create the death certificate.
If the deceased was an organ donor that will be handled at this time if permitted.
The hospital staff needs to notified of where you would like your loved one to go. If you decided on Legacy Cremation Services of Nevada the hospital will call us to make arrangements to transfer the deceased to our facility.
If no prior arrangements were made with Nevada Legacy cremation services, you should call our office and we will go over all details, tell you about our services and discuss cremation costs. You will then need to tell the hospital where to send the deceased.
In Nevada you will get a call from us at Legacy you when your loved ones arrives at our facility. We can then arrange a time to go over the final cremation costs and services. We will need you to bring something that proved you are a member of the immediate family, because only a member can take charge of cremating the deceased or making final arrangements.
We will also need;
1. Their social security card to file for any benefits you may receive 2. Any military record so we can file for Veteran benefits, these include a burial in a National Cemetery and the head stone 3. Any life insurance policy information ( we will also file these papers for you)
The crematorium is where the cremation itself takes place, only one body at a time is placed in a combustible box and put into the chamber for cremation. The chambers heat and flame will reduce the body to ashes and small pieces of bone, these remains are put into a machine that grinds the pieces down to a powder. Then the ashes are transferred to an urn or a rigid container that we supply, and returned back to our facility.
Some cremations take place after the funeral and viewing. The difference would be the embalming process.
This is what happens in every cremation, all of this is included in the basic cremation costs along with the duties of the funeral director.
Planning Ahead
Many people are now planning ahead for own funerals. It makes perfect sense, you can pick and choose what you would like to have at your memorial, you can even mention certain people that you may or may not want to come. Legacy cremation services in Nevada will help you make these arrangements.
We will make an appointment to come to your home, or you can come to any Nevada Legacy Cremation Services office and we will discuss all of the details of the cremation process, how you would like to celebrate your life in the memorial service afterwards and the cremation costs.
This is a very important decision and we will not try to and rush you into anything, take your time look at the brochures, when you are ready give Nevada Legacy Cremation Services a call we will come to home or office and finalize the paperwork.
In Nevada you can even lock into the price of today and not have to wonder about tomorrow. This is also a wonderful thing to do for your surviving family members, without this plan they will not only be grieving your loss but they may also be wondering how to pay for the services.
We at Legacy try and take care of all of the details so you do not have to. Nevada's Legacy Cremation Services is dedicated to providing families the most inclusive professional service in their time of need.
