Our Services
What we do at New York's Legacy Cremation Service is simple, we take care of all of the details of making cremation and memorial arrangements so you do not have to. Everything we do is to lighten the burden that you will feel at this time. Especially if this is your first time making end of life arrangements, you may not be quite sure of what to do or what the expenses are.
We will never try to convince you to have anything more than what you want for the services, as long as it is not required by law.
After your loved one is "pronounced dead" the hospital or coroner needs to who to call to pick up the deceased and transport them for services. Once you decide to use New York's Legacy Cremation Services just call the hospital and let them know that you have made a decision, they will call us and the process will begin.
In the initial cremation costs we include all transportation to and from the crematorium, the container for the cremation chamber, the return container, and obtaining all death certificates needed for us to file Social Security, Veterans and any life insurance paperwork on your behalf. These are all included in the cremation costs. Beware of providers who do not include the death certificates in their cremation costs. You have no idea how much you will to pay after the fact, because they cannot begin services without the certificates.
These are our initial services, but we do much more. If your immediate family needs to make travel plans to be there for you for the funeral we at New York legacy Cremation services will do that for you. We will also make arrangements to have the deceased transported anywhere you might like them to go for a burial or cremation services.

We at New York's Legacy Cremation Services encourage that you have a memorial service that will remember your loved one for the special life that they alone lived. They were like no one else, they were unique and you can celebrate that uniqueness by being grateful that you were a part of their life, instead of only thinking of them being gone.
That is a wonderful way to pay tribute to someone, actually celebrate their accomplishments and their love of family.
This can done in many ways but what seems to work best for other families we have worked with are items from your loved one's life. These can be anything they personally loved. Maybe a photograph album, or computer disk with pictures on it, they may have loved to play baseball, you cold put out a ball and bat, or maybe they even coached a peewee soccer team, bring a soccer ball and a shirt.
There are so many different things that could be brought in that when you sit and reflect on your loved ones life, ideas should come to you.
