I just wanted to say thanks for the beautiful memorial service. It was so personal and dignified (just how my husband would have wanted). Thank you for helping me celebrate such a wonderful life with such honor.

Virginia's Legacy Cremation Services Will Keep Your Cremation Costs Low and Your Time Your Own When You Use Our Provider

Virginia's Legacy Cremation Services will keep your cremation costs low and your time your own when you use our provider. We strive to keep the families we serve at ease and calm during this extremely stressful time. We do all of the searching for funeral homes that suit your needs and keep cremation costs low, including the memorial service.
Our History and Staff
Virginia's Legacy cremation services has been family owned for over two-decades and our customers life it that way. We have been recommended by the people we have already serviced to keep us in business with the name "one of the most trusted cremation providers in the state", with affordable cremation costs..
At Legacy Cremation services we have watched generations of families change the way they memorialize their loved ones from one where they treat it the traditional way of mourning for days of sadness to ones where they actually celebrate he unique life that was lived by their loved one.
Our staff lives where they work, they might even have children that go to school with yours, or they are your friends or neighbors. Our funeral service director serves on many of the communities boards, and volunteer committees. We like staying in touch with the community we feel it brings us closer to the families we service.
Our staff operates all hours of the day and night evey day of the year. You will always hear a friendly voice on the other end of the phone when you call no matter what time of night it is.
The Cremation Process
To begin, if your loved one dies at home with no physician present you must call the police and they will arrange to have your loved one brought to a hospital where they can be pronounced dead. Only than will a death certificate be issued.
Nothing more can happen until the death certificate is filled out.
Once you are notified that that the pronounced has occurred you if you have not done so already it is time to find a funeral or cremation provider. Make sure that your loved one did not have any directives set with a certain funeral or cremation services provider first, you could end up paying twice.
After you have chosen where you are going to have your loved one cared for you must let the hospital know and they will call to make arrangements for pick up of the deceased. If you are using Virginia's Legacy Cremation Services and you chose cremation we will pick up your loved one and transport them to our crematorium for the cremation process.
If the death happened without prior knowledge of an illness you may want to take the time and get all of our services explained to you before making a final choice, but one thing that people do have to worry about is the price. We can assure you that cremation costs are always less expensive than a funeral service, but the choice is a very personal one and if you want a funeral service but think that cannot afford one we can try to arrange a dignified service that will suit your budget.
The Cremation Costs
The cremation costs include obtaining all copies of death certificates, (which is something that not all services include - watch for this as some large corporate companies will add this to the final expenses without telling you)
We at Legacy in Virginia never include anything unless we go over the cremation costs with you first.
The other include parts are bringing the body to and from the crematorium, identification of the body, and a rigid container for the return trip.
We at legacy however, include filing all of the paperwork for Veterans benefits, which would if your loved one was in the military, a burial in a National Cemetery and a headstone will be provided.
All social security papers, these are very important. If you are entitled to benefits you want to make sure that a proficient service files these as they are easy to mess up. We are that proficient service. If you are of the right age you can receive monthly benefits as a surviving spouse, and if your loved one worked long enough. You can even receive benefits if you a child 17 or younger, 18 years of age can collect until they are 19 and still in high school.
We even fill out and file for life insurance if there was a policy.
These are done with no additional cremation costs.
